Heartwarming love letter to Director Mills' mother ("Beginners" was based on his father), and his 70's adolescence. Bening and Gerwig are both amazing (I didn't recognize Gerwig).
Mike Mills is married to Miranda July. That is a couple I'd like to have dinner with.
