20th Century Women is an irresistibly fantastic coming of age dramedy. One unlike pretty much any other you've seen before. The script is ridiculously good, brimming with consistently clever and intelligent dialogue. Fantastic performances all around as well. The whole ensemble cast which includes Annette Bening, Greta Gerwig, and Elle Fanning should absolutely be in the Oscar discussion. Just when you think the movie is going to hit those cliche indie beats, it makes the incredibly smart decision to throw those beats out the window and stick to its own guts. As a whole, the film is simply an absolute delight.
