Review of 2010 (1984) by Alex C — 07 Feb 2010

I love the story, but it is obvious that it is not a Kubrick film. The film lacks the attention to detail that Kubrick obsessed over the making of 2001. I grant the fact that 2001 film itself had to be studied to reproduce props, models, and scenery in 2010, but as one moviegoer who had seen 2001 many times for decades, I can see the flaws in 2010 from the next star system.

The audacity that we wouldn't notice! However, I do love the 20xx: movies, because Clarke wrote the books and because 2001: is my favorite scifi movie of all times and the only Kubrick film I ever liked.
