Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Jacob E — 31 May 2013

This may seem like a low rating for this movie, but here me out. I have only seen the movie once and that was in high school. My opinion on it was that the middle segment of the film is by far the strongest part and the imagery through out is great.

I just feel like the beginning was way too drawn out and very hard to get into. It opens with five minutes of music over a black screen and the monkey stuff was really slow as well. I can see why it is considered a masterpiece, but it could lose twenty minutes pretty easily.
