Best Sci Fi movie ever made. sometimes I hear people say 'this movie didnt make any sense'. I saw it when I was ten and fully comprehended it and I'm not that smart. An advanced race leaves the monoliths to evolve man at times of crisis-once when they are starving to extinction, and once when they are advanced enough to destroy themselves.
