Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Aquiles V — 15 Oct 2013
This film is an amazing experience for the eyes and ears. I can't believe it's from 1968, because it looks better than a lot of movies nowadays. And behind the technical aspects, there's also a really interesting story with a lot of memorable moments, from the starting scene with the apes to the story of Hal and the indescribable conclusion.
The movie moves at a very slow pace and there are a lot of scenes without dialogue, but if you can get past through that you can definitely enjoy it. The third act gets really confusing, but it is so intriguing and beautiful, you can't help but go along for the trip.
A strange and unique film, which beauty it's hard to explain with words.
