Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Shelby H — 25 Nov 2013
One word sums up this whole movie, What?? The first half an hour is sheer boredom that relates nothing to the story line. Thank God for DVR so I could fast forward it. Once we finally get into Kubrick's future everything fits together but nothing ever really makes sense.
The ending thankfully is somewhat understandable. Yet, this movie just plods and the most famous parts are a lot less scary in context. Rent or DVR it so you can fast forward through the boring parts!
