Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Anthony T — 28 Jan 2014
Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece and a masterpiece in film history. Once in a while an extraordinary picture will surface for the world to glorify, but that had not been done in the same fashion as 2001 did when it first hit theatres in 1968.
Phenomenal visual effects that still hold up remarkably well today, a dark, atmospheric mood that's present all the way through and a mind-blowing, but extremely loose plot line that seems to be unravelled as the movie progresses.
Not just one of the greatest cinematic works for Sci-fi, but for all time.
