Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Ker Malkin G — 07 Mar 2014
While its prolonged shots of silence (which are arguably for immersion purposes) could be a bore, it clearly revolutionizes today's sci-fi films. I mean, WALL-E's AUTO was clearly derived from Hal 9000.
Not to mention, Star Wars and the more recent Gravity seem heavily influenced as well by this film.
