A groundbreaking epic. Almost all ensuing works of sci-fi will owe at least some credit to Stanley Kubrick (and Arthur C. Clarke) for this scintillating odyssey, including fascinating ideas concerning evolution, A.
I. technology, future endeavours in space and philosophy. With visuals far ahead of its time, and direction techniques that influence new films to this day (e.g. Christopher Nolan's use of a rotating centrifuge in his 2011 film Inception), Kubrick's A Space Odyssey remains one of the greatest films of all time.
