2001: A Space odyssey.

Released in 1968 the movie is the precursor of the 'Star Wars Saga', and today's ubiquitous CGI effects.

'2001: A Space odyssey' was also developed concurrently with its novel by Arthur C.Clarke based on his collection of short stories published in 1948.

What strikes us about the movie is how Kubrick and C.Clarke have contributed to a vision beyond its time, gifting us with images that resound in our subconscious and all done in the most beautiful and subtle way.

But also how did they know so much about space and the future even before the landing on the moon in 1969?

Some of the film's representations of futuristic ideologies copycat our own technological-evolution of modern days, of social mediations and needs - it is striking!

- Genius Visionaries? (yes).

The movie is as iconic as Johann Strauss' The Blue Danube score, as we first enter into the space age from the darks of prehistoric times.

A bone thrown in the air by the primordial hands of/or human's descendants it's replaced by a shot of a floating space station, symbol of the mankind's evolution and its devices.

But what happens when in space we loose control of our tools?

The story is constructed on layers of hidden story telling, every image, every word is charged with so much content that leaves us compelled to read more into the movie.

It preserves imagination and talent, pouring love and passion from its makers.

'2001: A Space odyssey' is largely impeccable in the way its shot, fusing different styles and cinematic techniques making the film a milestone of our century and without a doubt for the years to come.
