Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Brad S — 20 Dec 2015
- I have now seen this 3 times. It's a rare film that I didn't love the first time, and have enjoyed more with each subsequent viewing. it's a true masterpiece that rewards repeated viewings. It also helps to do a little research on it to help understand it better. But just the visuals and music alone make it worth watching. This is an absolute MUST watch!
- Just watched it on Blu-Ray, only my 2nd time seeing it. My opinion is pretty much the same as the first time, the film is a marvel to look at, but I found it incredibly slow and didn't fully understand it. I was able to at least appreciate the beauty of it though. Seems like a film that will reward multiple viewings and research...I ay revisit it at some point. The film needs to be seen at least once, whether you love or hate it, it is something worth checking out!
