This is 1 of my top 5 favorite movies. This is like a freakin' Mona Lisa or something. Such a work of fucking art. The whole thing... from The Dawn of Man, to the black monolith, to HAL, to predicting so many actual future technologies, the trippy space travel scenes look AMAZING, and hell just how good everything looked considering this came out in 1968.
The score to this movie is so freaking good. I love those timpanies!!!! All of the acting was great. This movie is perfect in my opinion. One of those rare perfect movies. And on a weird personal note.
.. I love it when Hal says "Dave".
