Very good first part, up to the EVA. The 1968 emulation of later technology has worn well, even if flawed in parts. Photographic emulation of space very good. Last part of the movie is pretentious rubbish.
.. skip all the rest from where Bowman switches HAL off, nothing more of any interest.
