With an iconic soundtrack and stunning visuals, it's no wonder why 2001: A Space Odyssey is considered a classic. However personally I thought the movie was unnecessarily long. I thought the 148 minute movie could have easily been cut to a 90 minute film. I often became drowsy during the multiple sequences of panoramic views of space and the accompanying.
Classical music. For the technology available at the time this movie broke barriers for the sci-fi genre.
