Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Mb1097 — 17 Sep 2013
Don't kid yourself. It isn't for everybody. Kubrick wasn't interested in mass appeal by any stretch of the imagination. He wanted to explore the depths of mans technological capacity, which meant highlighting his inherent flaws.
In essence, this is a film about error, about questions. And, in the end, it leaves us bewildered.
