Review of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) by Michael A — 27 Jan 2010
Once again, I was negative 9 years old when this beauty came out. The Nautilus and the great Captain Nemo with his gallant crew. Yes, he is a terror of the oceans but he has a point. A futuristic messiah or a prophet of doom.
Nemo is one of those great conflicted characters you just don't see much in today's films. Especially not in a Disney film. Awesome and scary, the tentacles of the great squid still leaves a mark.
Maybe in "God's good time," Nemo will give us all his wonderful secrets.
