A real gem!
20,000 Leagues Under The Sea was one of the few movies Disney had released to VHS in the early 80's. So as a kid I watched this movie over and over again.
As an adult I am watching this movie with a new set of eyes and a deeper appreciation of all the elements of the movie. Well acted, interesting story, good character development, and 'some' good action. The pacing of the movie is a bit slow being drawn out over 2 hours, but in part that can be blamed as the source material (a very good book mind you!). If you like Submarine movies like "Das Boot" this one takes the cake.
