Review of 20 Million Miles to Earth (1957) by Steve B — 20 Jun 2015
The story, the writing, and the acting are all very typical of 50s area sci fi monster flicks. You won't find any example of deep complex storytelling or great performances in this flick. However Ray Harryhausen's effects hold up remarkably well and the creature he creates is remarkably expressive and surprisingly sympathetic despite its destruction.
That alone makes this movie worth a watch for fans of monster movies.
