Basically a "King Kong" retread, but a great one. Any film that makes you feel so much for the monster is worth checking out. Harryhausen does a truly amazing job with showing the character and emotions of the creature, it actually out-acts the actors.
The destruction of Rome is the icing on the cupcake.
