"20 Feet from Stardom" is a deeply insigtful, mildly depressing, well-made documentary which follows the lives of several backup singers for rock icons like the Rolling Stones, and a variety of Motown superstars.
It focuses on the "business" aspect of "Show Business" which is often seamy and unprincipled. The music is outstanding. The real message of the film is sobering. It is well worth seeing.
