I have spent most of my life trying to understand something I can never fully understand. I am reminded of that here again. I will never know how that feels. If you're white in this country, neither will you.
Yet I still feel a responsibility to know as much as I can. To try to understand. To pay attention. To speak out and to do what I can. To never ever stop until true fairness and equality for everyone comes to America.
