Powerful documentary siding with the Black Lives Matter movement. The film argues that America's imprisonment of black men is linked to slavery, and propelled by the corporate industry that has built up around that expansion.

I thought it was less strong on the war on drugs, and the three-strikes rule. Life just isn't black and white, it's mostly grey. And to some extent it glosses over the prison numbers continuing to go up (as are the police killings of black men) under Obama.

However it's a powerful, angry Chuck D-like documentary. Recommended.
