Review of 13 Tzameti (2006) by Philip B — 26 Jun 2007
This movie is shot incredibly well, the black and white photography is crisp and supports the film's atmosphere and attitude. The characters are convincing and the rounds of Russian roulette were some of the most tense scenes I've ever seen in movies.
The ending, that is, the 20 minutes or so after the game, seemed weaker than the rest of the movie to me, but that may be because the game was so fascinating. Apparently the extras include an "interview" with one of the players and a short film that is funny and helps round out the movie, but I wasn't able to see those.
Overall a very good movie.
