Review of 13 Tzameti (2006) by Doug H — 17 Aug 2007
I was only able to sit through this film once, and that with many moments of flinching. Violent, but not without purpose, the film explores the motivation, desperation, and individual character of a death for entertainment industry.
Not the first film to tackle humankind's penchant for enjoying the suffering in others, this film tackles the social and psychological side far better then recent Hollywood offerings. A thinking person's Hostel, suspenseful with social commentary.
I wouldn't recommend for the weak-hearted.
