Review of 13 Assassins (2010) by Aaron T — 30 Jul 2011
13 Assassins is Miike's most polished and mature effort to date. It is a solid film in its own right, though it doesn't quite outdo some of Kurosawa's best samurai films. The beginning is a bit confusing with the introduction of many characters and alot of plot but it becomes easier to digest as the film proceeds.
Definitely a worthy effort.
