Review of 13 Assassins (2010) by Patrick C — 24 Aug 2011
Not a bad throwback film, but really nothing more than that. Nowhere near as compelling as the Seven Samurai. Well acted and not overburdened with too much of the jumping over building problem that lots of Asian action movies have.
The film was well acted, directed, and shot but there are just too many characters who are interchangeable and the sword fight ran a little long for me.
