Review of 13 Assassins (2010) by Allan S — 19 Sep 2011
A well crafted (good production values, set design, costumes) Japanese movie about a band of samurai seeking retribution against a really, really, really bad guy (thank god the director left out the gory graphic details in some scenes).
There is an interesting subplot that deals with the philosophical argument between the samurai sworn to protect the bad guy vs the samurai who want to kill him for his really, really, really bad evil deeds.
