Review of 12:08 East of Bucharest (2006) by Alan B — 02 Sep 2007
Sixteen years after the overthrow of Ceausescu in Romania, "Was there or wasn't there a revolution in our town?" is the question being asked in the town of Vaslui. A bumbling local television talk show/interview considers the possibility that no one actually protested in their town square, but simply everyone came out to celebrate after the news broke at 12:08pm.
Not so good to deserve it's Cannes award, but plenty to smirk about and ponder.
