Review of 12:08 East of Bucharest (2006) by Georgette K — 27 Jan 2009
Was there a revolution on our city?- it's the superficial plot question asked repeatedly by the journalist that used to be a textile technician. In his improvised studio he invites two guests somehow connected with the revolution.
But the movie isn't about it. It's funny in a way, it's supposed to be a comedy and it surely is, if you are somewhat familiar with the scenery of Romania, or any other East-European country, otherwise it's just strange.
But the film itself is not superficial, it has complex characters, good acting and several beautiful scenes. And for sure it made me laugh a few times.
