Review of 12:01 (1993) by Eric L — 06 Apr 2015
Its groundhog day before groundhog day and edge of tomorrow. A man wakes up and relives the same day over and over, but this time there is actually an scientific explanation, making this movie more like a star trek episode then a twilight zone one.
Unlike the 2 "relive the same day" movies I mentioned none of the days are skipped over in a montage, you get to see them all and each get a little closer. This movie does a good job of mixing is mystery, comedic and romantic elements, and it gets bonus points of coming up with the idea first.
The lead guy was good but bill Murry is a better one. The biggest weakness of this film is its soundtrack,, 80's sounding synthonic garbage.
