The best from Steve McQueen, so far. I love his visual storytelling style in Shame, but in this film it's taken to a whole another level. The feels.. The feels when you watch this is almost unbearable, but you still keep watching, because you still hope for our main character to finally take back the life he deserves, because it seems like you've been with him on his journey all along.
And that's the greatest thing a director can do.
