Review of 10,000 BC (2008) by Ethan L — 02 Jan 2011
Seriously....WTF! Seemed silly and contrived right from the beginning. Funny how some tribal people start talking in another language yet the main characters speak perfect english.....at least in Apocolyptica, it was all in Mayan and subtitled. That made it come across as a bit more believable. This, however was weak. Although I typically like big budget movies made with relatively unknowns (Avatar for instance), this was just terrible. Belle has the acting range of a wet paper bag and often looked stoned. Strait wasn't that bad, it was mostly the story that I had a problem with. It obviously wasn't historically or archaeologically accurate by any means but parts of the story really didn't fit. And the ending? Really? The girl dies and then suddenly comes back to life amongst weird cut back scenes to the creepy old woman. It didn't make much sense at all and I was laughing for the rest of the ending.
Definately won't be watching that again.
