Much better than the critics' rating suggests! I mean, come on, 8%? What the hell were they watching?! The audience rating of 3 out of 5 (or 6 out of 10) is much more reflective of this film's overall quality.
Personally, I thought this was at least on par with Mel Gibson's similarly themed and also decent (if overwrought), Apocalypto. How on earth that film gets 65% while this one gets 8%, is beyond me.
It's well-made and decently acted, and not some amateur B-movie, by any stretch of the imagination!
