Review of 10 Rillington Place (1971) by M. K — 20 Jun 2011
Brilliantly disturbing performance from Richard Attenborough, with wrenching support from the always great John Hurt. Excellent script and solid direction, although the dramatization of events shrinks back from fully depicting the true horrors (the real Christie used some of the women's bones to prop up his fences, which went completely ignored by the grotesquely incompetent police, etc) and complete miscarriage of justice that occurred in the actual incidents.
