Sinister telling of the horrible story of serial killer John Christie, you can't help but feel sorry for Timothy Evans when he gets mixed up in Christie's mind games, when he has no hope of winning.
Richard Attenborough is especially disturbing, and the film needs no blood, gore or excessive depictions of violence to be very unsettling.
