Review of 10 Grams (2015) by Altered E — 23 Oct 2016

As a concept, "10 Grams" could have been the Derbyshire version of Better Call Saul. The fault is in the execution, more closely in XXX territory than gripping crime drama. Bored actors recite lines from a tensionless script, and none of the characters are relatable in any way, least of all the protagonist.

However, the utter failure of this movie to create anything like dramatic tension makes the tragic twist ending come off as accidentally narmy black comedy. The ending alone makes suffering through the multiple awkward striptease montages worth watching and mocking aloud with a group of likeminded friends.
