Review of ThanksKilling (2008) by Altered E — 25 Aug 2016
Unlike most indie horror films of its ilk, this flick had a budget. And they blew all of it on a turkey puppet ('cause a pilgrim with an axe would be too easy), then probably blackmailed the cast and crew into working for free.
The atrocious lighting is the funniest and most grievous offense, but the craptastic one-liners, a turkey-human sex scene, a turkey impersonating a cop - you can't make this stuff up. I say it's the best Thanksgiving themed slasher, but that's because this movie's only competition is its own sequels.
