Review of 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) by Tommaso D — 18 Sep 2016
A surprisingly creepy, suspenseful shocker that Hitchcock probably would have loved. I don't want to tell too much and give away anything but basically a young woman wakes up in a bunker and is told there has been some sort of catastrophic event and the world is uninhabitable.
Her journey to the truth, which is truly bizarre, is the basis of the film. John Goodman gives a very creepy, realistic portrayal of the bunker builder; it's easily as creepy as Norman Bates IMHO! Some of the film was predictable but most of it will have you on the edge of your seat.
Much better than Cloverfield in mood and outright chills. Recommended!
