Certainly tense, but not horror. I enjoyed this movie. The fear was slightly subliminal and contrived. The last part of the movie did seem a bit far fetched but the acting was spectacular. Mary and the Johns were very strong leads and the movie holds its own due to them.

It is a great watch for people wanting a thriller that isn't childishly didactic or isn't full of twists and turns that makes your head spin rather than awe and shock. (*Wow that is too many ands in a sentence*).
