I wish more reviewers would judge this film on its own merits - and not just be ready to attack because Madonna wrote and directed. While it is a bit heavy on the style and could be trimmed in a few places, the overall movie is beautifully done - with solid acting, directing, art direction, score, and costumes.
A very impressive accomplishment that is bold, daring, and quite rewarding.
