Review of Van Diemen's Land (2009) by Hannu P — 22 Feb 2011
8 convicts escape their prison camp in Van Diemen's Land and into the rugged landscape of what would become Tasmania. they run out of food and turn to cannibalism.
Great camera work, cinematography is amazing, they capture the wilderness beautifully and it becomes another character. the acting is good and the violence harsh but needed. a very brutal drama. a great story on a bleak part of Australian history.
