Review of Under the Sand (2001) by Miguel C — 10 Aug 2008
The film that broke Ozon into the mainstream is still one of his very best; like lightning in a bottle, it has all the elements one may desire: atmosphere, great writing, complexity. There's a breathtaking acting work from Charlotte Rampling, who is a most underrated actor, and however, here lends her devastating sadness, her ageless beauty and her formidable eyes to tell a haunting story that becomes a jewel.
