Review of The Scouting Book for Boys (2010) by Jason J — 22 Jul 2011
You feel like Harper is trying too hard to evoke Shane Meadows at times in this, and the casting of Turgoose seems to confirm that. He and Grainger though have their performances down to a tee and you find them a really believeable pair.
But then, what happened? In the last 20 minutes the plot takes some drastic changes of pace, none of which seem even logical and leave you feeling completely disappointed. Think I might get my 'Room For Romeo Brass' DVD out instead.
