This film broke my heart. Why was Erika so 'monsterous' ? I saw a vulnerable, tender woman who wanted to be loved .. she was scared. and rightly so. people eschew things that make them uneasy or confuse them.
And Erika is confusing. She is full of contradiction and conflicting desires. But doesn't that show her humanity? and her beauty?
