Review of The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu (2009) by Phil N — 02 Apr 2011
One for Cthulu fans, The Last Lovecraft is a pretty silly adventure about the last surviving descendant of HP Lovecraft who is entrusted with a sacred relic. Said relic is coveted by the Deep Ones who will rule the Earth should they get their tentacles on it.
Despite its obvious shortcomings and low budget, the film gets by thanks to its lighthearted tone (some great one liners) and some inspired comic book graphics. Itâ(TM)s clearly a labour of love by those involved and their enthusiasm shines through.
