Review of The Lady (2011) by Carreh R — 20 May 2012
The so called 'critics' may bomb it but I loved it. I cried so much when I watched it today. It was touching on how much the people suffered and how she kept facing obstacles everywhere she turned.
It kind of reflected my country in a way so perhaps I could relate? Like how in the movie the army came and stopped her talks when just a month ago my own military force went all out against protesters who wanted a clean and fair election.
Those who live in good times may not be able to fully comprehend the horror so those 'famous critics' who grow fat in their hollywood pay won't understand nuts. But for those of us who can sense it lurking in our own country, this movie portrays our darkest fears of how life could actually be like and what it may be like in the future.
