Quirkiness is in abundance in the indie film world, but nobody does it quite like Miranda July, who elevates it into artform and makes it part of her unique, distinctive voice; "The Future", a tale of thirty-something existential angst, is grim and less hopeful than "Me & You.
..", but not less shrewd, honest, tender or wise.
