Review of The East (2013) by Kasey L — 30 Jul 2013
This gets the full star rating for me, as I loved everything about it. For someone who is tired of the world's apathy at the rise of the corporate terrorists, for me, this was one of the most thought provoking movies to hit the big screen in a long while.
And I am excited to see movies that challenge us to confront our ideas of right and wrong, and force us to ask ourselves - how far we will and must go to eke out some justice and stop the endless tyranny that is being wielded by the psychopathic heads of the big corporations.
This was my first experience of Brit Marling.... I'm now off to seek out all of her other movies. What a phenomenal actress, who here, was aligned with a fantastic line up of co-stars. I came out wanting to test myself.
