Review of The Double Life of Véronique (1991) by Zachary S — 25 Feb 2007
From what I have seen, this is his best work. I like Red so much, but it seems so attached to the narrative whereas Double Life sort of just floats along. Example, whatever happened to that to the story of her helping out her friend? I think that is why I liked it so much.
The movie doesn't feel as pressured to complete things. Plus, I don't get to see too many films like this. Movies like Stalker and such don't get made much anymore.
